Raise Finances Easily Using These Established School Fundraisers
While taxes pay for the basic necessities that schools need, those same schools often lack the funds necessary for special projects, special opportunities, or unplanned upgrades to facilities or programs. If the opportunity is good but the funds are not there, many schools turn to school fundraisers to help fill in the gap.
Quality school fundraising efforts traditionally keep costs per item below $30. And, to make a decent profit, the school needs to sell items for prices fifty percent or more above what was paid for them.
Anything that’s food related is usually a good bet.

One of the most popular items to sell at fundraisers are boxes of cookies. Everyone loves cookies, making them easy to sell, and they really are inexpensive. Add to that the benefits of lacking the need for refrigeration and their ability to last for months without spoiling on a shelf, and it‘s easy to see why cookies are a popular choice.
Still, many think cookies have had their day as a fundraising object. Some schools are beginning to think outside the box and looking at items such as nuts and/or chocolate to replace cookies as fundraising items. They are popular with prospective donors for the same reasons, but have not been sold as often and, therefore, may result in a higher total sales price.
Cheese and sausage kits also can be sold as fundraising items. Possibly more costly, these kits bring an element of change to the fundraising arena.
But, one of the biggest recent additions to the fundraising arena is blowing past all previous options. This fundraising option not only is easy to sell, but many people who purchase it come back for more, sometimes even buying it in greater quantities the second time around.
