Raise Funds Without Problems With These Confirmed School Fundraisers
Emergency upgrades and programs for schools often go unmet because their primary source of funding, taxes, often is limited to basic needs. If the opportunity is good but the funds are not there, many schools turn to school fundraisers to help fill in the gap.
Quality school fundraising efforts traditionally keep costs per item below $30. And, to make a decent profit, the school needs to sell items for prices fifty percent or more above what was paid for them.
Anything that’s food related is usually a good bet.
Potential fundraising items
- Cookies
- Coffee
- Nuts
Boxes of cookies, often store bought, are commonly sold at fundraiders. Everyone loves cookies, making them easy to sell, and they really are inexpensive. Bonuses to selling cookies at fundraisers, in addition to their extended shelf life, is the fact they do not require refrigeration.
But maybe you feel cookies no longer meet your need as a fundraising project. Many schools have switched to more unique fundraising items such as nuts and chocolates. Because they are a newer fundraising commodity, nuts and chocolate may begin receiving higher total sales prices than cookies.
A relatively atypical fundraising item is a cheese and sausage kit. Possibly more costly, these kits bring an element of change to the fundraising arena.
Yet there‘s another even more promising fundraising alternative afoot. This fundraising option not only is easy to sell, but many people who purchase it come back for more, sometimes even buying it in greater quantities the second time around. What is this new option taking school fundraisers by storm?
It‘s that a.m. beverage a high percentage of Americans drink daily!!!!
There are many, many coffee drinkers, and a high percentage of them swear they can’t live without coffee; which might give you food for thought when you’re planning your next fundraising project.
